Life Coaches can help in the areas of relationships, career, finance, health, parenting, motivation, and much more. Working with a personal Coach is not limited to any type of person, but is best for those who want to take initiative in their own life..
How can Life Coaching help?
A Life Coach assists an individual in planning for the future and allows an opportunity to begin changing the course of their direction. Results will vary depending on the reasons "why" you are seeking the assistance of a life coach.
A Coaching Session
Each coaching session is tailored to the individual needs of the client. Sessions are approximately 50 minutes in length. The coach and the client will work together to acknowledge obstacles, set goals, explore alternate perspectives and celebrate accomplishments. Sessions can be individual or in a group setting.
How is Coaching different from traditional Therapy?
Therapy is often conducted by a licensed individual. Although coaching is therapeutic in nature, it is NOT considered therapy. Coaching does not address psychological issues or mental health concerns. The primary focus of coaching is to assist the individual in identify their goals and developing a plan to be successful in achieving those goals. There is little emphasis placed on the past with coaching, but instead the focus is on creating a plan for the future. Another difference of coaching vs therapy is the fact that discussions in coaching sessions are not privileged in legal proceedings.
